5 illegal casinos added to blacklist by the GC

On 16 October 2025, the Belgian Gaming Commission (GC) announced a new update to its blacklist of illegal online casinos. Five new sites have been added to the list, reinforcing the fight against operators who circumvent Belgian regulations.

A stronger regulatory tradition

For several years now, Belgium has been working to provide a rigorous framework for the online gambling market. The Gaming Commission (GC) keeps an up-to-date blacklist of illegal operators to be banned from the country. The purpose of this monitoring is not only to protect consumers, but also to deter fraudulent practices.

The blacklist was last updated on 16 October 2025. In this update, the GC decided to add five new illegal casino sites. These platforms, operating without a valid licence in Belgium, have been added to an already dense panorama of banned sites.

Sites added

  • winningz.com
  • sol.casino
  • brutalcasinobonus.com
  • brutalcasino.com
  • aide-aux-joueurs.be

The site aide-aux-joueurs.be was previously a resource site for people suffering from gambling addiction, but its url has been spoofed to promote illegal casinos.

Why did this happen? Risks and remedies

Why continue to update the blacklist with new names? There are three main reasons for this ongoing approach:

  1. Player protection: unauthorised casinos do not guarantee data security, effective payment of winnings or fair gaming conditions.
  2. Legal deterrence: identified operators risk prosecution, fines and even confiscation of illegally obtained winnings.
  3. Market clarity: by restricting access to these platforms via Internet service providers, the Belgian State is limiting their influence.

Belgian players, for their part, also run risks: knowingly using an illegal site can result in financial penalties of €26 to €25,000, increased by the additional decimes provided for by law.

The GC works with internet service providers to block domain names identified from Belgian territory, making access impossible or severely restricted.

What should I do if I have doubts about an online casino?

If you are considering playing on an online casino platform, here are the essential precautions to take:

  • Check that the site has a licence issued by the GC (type F+, B+ or A+).
  • Compare the URL of the site with that on the updated blacklist.
  • Check the legal notices, terms of payment and reliable reviews published by reputable sources.
  • If in doubt, refrain from depositing funds.

The GC regularly points out that the blacklist, although very broad, is not exhaustive: some illegal sites may not yet have been identified. This makes individual vigilance more important than ever.
