Gamusoft LP: illegal activities halted

The Kansspelautoriteit (Ksa) has fined Gamusoft LP for illegally offering games of chance to Dutch players via the csgofast.com website, without a licence and without geographical restrictions. A penalty payment of €280,000 per week, capped at €840,000, was imposed to force the company to cease its activities. This decision is part of the Ksa’s strategy to strictly regulate the online gaming market and protect consumers from the risks associated with unlicensed operators.

On 17 April 2025, the Kansspelautoriteit (Ksa) announced that it had imposed a penalty payment on Gamusoft LP. The company is accused of illegally offering games of chance to Dutch players via the csgofast.com website. This measure is intended to force Gamusoft LP to cease its illegal activities immediately.

Practices that do not comply with regulations

According to the Ksa’s investigations, the csgofast.com website allowed Dutch users to create an account, make deposits and participate in games of chance without having the required licence. No technical measures had been put in place to prevent access by Dutch players, in direct contravention of the laws in force.

The Ksa imposed a penalty payment of €280,000 per week on Gamusoft LP, with a ceiling of €840,000. This financial penalty is intended to deter the company from continuing its illegal activities and to protect Dutch consumers from the risks associated with unregulated gambling.

A reinforced regulatory strategy

Since the legalisation of online gambling in the Netherlands in October 2021, the Ksa has stepped up its efforts to regulate the market and protect players. The measures taken against Gamusoft LP are part of this strategy to eliminate unauthorised operators and ensure a safe and fair gaming environment.

This is not the first time that the Ksa has taken action against illegal operators. For example, in 2024, Gammix Limited was fined €19.6 million for similar offences. These actions demonstrate the Ksa’s determination to enforce gambling regulations.

The Ksa is sending a strong signal to operators who try to circumvent Dutch regulations. Financial sanctions and coercive measures are essential tools for maintaining the integrity of the gambling market and protecting consumers.
