Kapa Casino School celebrates its 1st birthday

In just one year, the school founded by Katarina Pantic has become a key player in the training of croupiers in Belgium.

One year on: Katarina Pantic’s successful gamble

Just one year ago, Katarina Pantic, who had spent eleven years as a croupier at the Grand Casino Brussels Viage, launched a project that seemed audacious at the time: to found the first Belgian school dedicated exclusively to training professional croupiers.

Twelve months later, it’s time to take stock. And the results are clear: Kapa Casino School has established itself as a key player in the field, increasing the number of training sessions, forging solid partnerships with casinos and paving the way for many young people to embark on international careers.

‘One year to the day since I opened my business, and the launch of a new KAPA session today!’ announced Katarina Pantic on LinkedIn. ‘Thank you to the partner casinos for their renewed confidence, and to all the people who have accompanied this adventure since the beginning.’

A passion transformed into a school

Before setting up her school, Katarina had a dream: to share her passion for the profession of croupier. Her years behind the tables have taught her precision, integrity and the art of managing sometimes tense games with calm and elegance. With Kapa Casino School, she wanted to pass on this know-how to a new generation.

The training offered by Kapa Casino School is based on an intensive eight-week programme in Brussels, covering the leading games: roulette, blackjack and Texas Hold’em poker. The most motivated can complete their training with modules such as Punto Banco or Ultimate Texas Hold’em.

But what sets the school apart is its direct link with the field. After the initial training, each student completes a four-week work placement at the Grand Casino Brussels Viage, enabling them to test their skills in a real-life professional setting.

Trained croupiers can apply for jobs in Belgian casinos, but they can also go abroad, work on board cruise ships or join poker clubs on a freelance basis.

The profession is in great demand. In Belgium, an entry-level croupier earns around €2,350 gross per month, not including tips. It’s a prospect that appeals to many young people looking for stability, adventure and mobility.

A gamble that paid off, and an open future

As it blows out its first candle, Kapa Casino School confirms that its model works: a school founded by a passionate professional that meets a real need in the market and offers young people an original, stable and international career path.
