Gaming Commission provides online training: ‘How to tackle illegal gambling sites’

The Gaming Commission is coming up with something new. They are organising an online training to help gambling operators take down illegal websites. That may sound complicated, but it is actually quite simple.

There is a new law that gives interested parties the opportunity to ask a judge to quickly take down those bad sites. No hassle, just take action.

How does it work exactly?

Imagine: you come across a website that offers illegal gambling games. What now? Thanks to Article XVII.34/1 of the Code of Economic Law, you as an operator can go to court.

The court can then decide within a short period of time that the site must disappear. And to block smart tricks such as alternative URLs, there are also additional measures possible. No escape for these sites anymore.

Online course for everyone who wants to know more

But what exactly are those rules and what can you do with them? To make all that clear, the Gaming Commission is organising an online information session together with the FPS Economy. This training is specifically for permit holders who want to understand how to use these new rules. And the best part? You don’t even have to leave the house. Just join from your desk or couch.

When and how can you join?

Mark December 17 at 10:00 in your agenda, because that’s when the session will take place. Do you have an additional permit and do you want to be there?

Then register before December 3 via the link shared by the Gaming Commission. Don’t wait too long, because you don’t want to miss this opportunity.
