GAMING1 is removing its dice games from Belgian casinos: what are the consequences?

GAMING1, a major player in the development of dice games in Belgium, decided a few days ago to remove access to its dice games from Class 2 casino operators.

Changes in the dice games landscape

In a letter addressed to Class 2 or B+ casino operators, GAMING1 announced that it is removing its dice games from the list of available games:

We inform you that as of April 1st, our GAMING1 ‘dice’ games will be removed from the list of games available on your site for an indefinite period.

This decision, the duration of which remains undetermined, raises many questions about the future of GAMING1’s dice games and its impact on players and operators.

Dice games, which combine strategy and chance, are very popular with Belgian players, and GAMING1’s dice games are among the most popular. Unfortunately, operators will have to reorganize their catalogs to compensate for the disappearance of these games. The group takes a big risk since the games can also become less relevant because of the non-presence in the biggest casinos.

Is GAMING1 disappearing completely?

GAMING1 specified in its letter that dice slots and table games will continue to be available at all casinos. Their dice games, however, will still be accessible on their own gaming platform and in A+ casinos. Therefore, the provider has not completely disappeared from the Belgian gambling landscape.

Is this a temporary decision or an underlying trend?

GAMING1 did not specify the exact reasons for this withdrawal or whether it could be permanent. However, industry professionals believe this is a strategic decision by the group, since multiple Gaming1 casinos were losing market share to other platforms like the ones from Green Island and Mr. Sloth. The games will remain available on the A+ Casino’s.

With this announcement the walloon gaming group makes a gamble to attract the player to their own platforms because of the exclusive content. It’s a bold move which will surely not stay without any consequences.

In which casino can you win the most?

Picture this: you toss a coin into a slot machine and… bam! You win $39.7 million. So that really happened. At the Excalibur Casino in Las Vegas, on a Megabucks slot machine. No joke. This is still the biggest casino win ever.

Deception on Facebook: the GC reacts

The GC has reported 1,298 illegal ads on Facebook in the first three months of 2025, aimed at luring Belgian gamblers to unauthorised gambling sites. These fraudulent platforms, often presented as legal, do not guarantee any protection for users and represent a real danger for consumers.
