24 hours to come forward before losing €3.5 million in the lottery
Time is running out for a mysterious Lotto winner. In less than 24 hours, their claim to a €3.5 million prize will expire permanently.
On 14 June 2025, a mysterious player won €3.5 million with a ticket validated the day before in the Waasland region. A player who remains untraceable to this day.
The National Lottery continues to search for the real winner. It must act quickly, because on Saturday 1 November, the right to this prize will expire permanently. After this date, the money can no longer be claimed.
The winning numbers remain unclaimed despite appeals
The winning combination was: 4 – 8 – 10 – 19 – 22 – 23, with 7 as the bonus number. The ticket number begins with 12243-037327147.
The National Lottery confirms that it has no further information to share with the public. The appeal for the winner to come forward has so far been unsuccessful.
‘The winner must contact us as soon as possible, by telephone or e-mail,’ says Jérémie Demeyer, spokesperson for the National Lottery.
What happens if the winner does not come forward before November 1st?
If no one comes forward before the deadline, the money will be returned to the National Lottery fund.
‘One hundred per cent of this amount goes back to society,’ explains Patricia Pen, the winners’ advisor.
The money can, for example, be reinvested in an Extra Lotto draw. This already happened in 2016, when a prize of €6.1 million went unclaimed. It is therefore possible that this amount will be offered again as a jackpot in a future draw.
Many dream of winning the lottery… but few succeed
Many people dream of such a win, but the chances of actually winning remain very low.
However, some manage to win several times, such as this grandmother who won several prizes and even ended up being followed by a private detective because her luck seemed so unlikely.
