At the beginning of 2026, DraftKings, a major player in online sports betting and gambling, announced a new collaboration with Mindway AI to improve player safety and education.
A new step for responsible gambling at DraftKings
At a time when online gaming platforms are stepping up initiatives to protect their users, DraftKings has decided to integrate an innovative tool at the heart of its Responsible Gaming Center: Gamalyze, developed by Mindway AI, a specialist in neuroscience-based solutions.
What makes Gamalyze unique is its scientific approach. Rather than asking gamers to assess their own habits, the tool invites them to take part in a short simulated card game. Through this simulation, it assesses key cognitive mechanisms such as decision-making, risk tolerance and reaction to losses. Gamalyze measures observed behaviour, not subjective impressions. This methodological choice is based on principles derived from neuroscience and behavioural science.
A response to the growing expectations of gamblers and regulators
For several years now, the online gambling industry has been facing increasing regulatory and social pressure. In both the United States and Europe, the authorities and consumer protection bodies are stepping up initiatives to make operators more accountable and reduce the risks associated with gambling.
For DraftKings, the integration of Gamalyze strengthens an existing set of responsible gaming tools. To date, the platform already offers features such as personal limit setting, gaming time reminders and educational content on its Responsible Gaming Center pages. Rather than limiting the use of these tools to awareness-raising platforms or isolated campaigns, DraftKings has chosen to integrate Gamalyze directly into the user experience.
