Monopoly comes to casinos with Hasbro’s new partnerships

In July 2025, Hasbro took a major step forward in its ‘Playing to Win’ strategy: not just reviving its iconic brands, but bringing them to life in the form of adult casino games. Earlier this week, the company announced four licensing agreements, in collaboration with Aristocrat, Evolution, Galaxy Gaming and Bally’s. These will enable the creation of games based on Monopoly, Yahtzee, Battleship and even Dungeons & Dragons from January 2026.

Aristocrat wins the bid for physical machines

Of the four partners, Aristocrat stands out as the exclusive partner for Monopoly land-based slot machines. The suspense was intense: this award was made after a rigorous call for tenders, according to Aristocrat. Craig Toner, CEO of Aristocrat Gaming, described the partnership as a proud milestone. He highlighted their commitment to innovation and creativity, promising titles that reinvent this great brand.

The first series of Monopoly machines is scheduled to appear in physical casinos in early 2026. This is a strong signal: Hasbro is banking on a premium experience, rooted in the world of traditional table games.

Evolution, master of online gaming

Evolution has been appointed exclusive partner for the online component. This reputable supplier, already behind such successes as Monopoly Live and Monopoly Big Baller, now holds the exclusive rights for live games and online slots based on Monopoly and other Hasbro licences.

Claire Hunter Gregson, Head of Gaming Partnerships at Hasbro:

“After a thorough RFP process, we’ve chosen Evolution as our exclusive partner for online live casino and online slots for Hasbro Games titles. We trust them to bring our brands to life in fresh, exciting ways for our adult fans and look forward to our partnership.”

The exclusivity covers in-house platforms (Evolution, NetEnt, Red Tiger and Big Time Gaming), promising a diverse range of interactive titles.

Todd Haushalter, Evolution’s product director, said:

“The team and I are incredibly excited to bring the Hasbro Games brands to all our various brands. I think Monopoly is the world’s best casino game brand and we can do so many great things with it, and, of course, with many other Hasbro Games brands.”

Galaxy Gaming and Bally’s to complete the Hasbro ecosystem

The other two partners play an equally strategic role:

  • Galaxy Gaming will develop custom tables (Monopoly, Yahtzee, Battleship), intended for the traditional casino universe.
  • Bally’s Corporation will manage the distribution aspect: exclusive B2C operator for Hasbro online casinos. Already holding licences in North America, Bally’s will distribute the new Monopoly games via its platform and other services.

This configuration makes it possible to reach a wide audience by combining digital innovation, physical presence and distribution power.

A genuine culture of ‘nostalgia marketing’

This choice of iconic brands is part of a more global strategy, known as Nostalgia Marketing: using familiar brands to attract attention and build loyalty.  Hasbro’s advantage is clear: trust is immediate and curiosity is piqued. A real lever for retention and conversion, thanks to an instant emotional connection.

Why now? Hasbro is preparing for the future

Claire Hunter Gregson makes it clear:

“We’re all about play—and that means meeting our fans wherever they are, from the game table to the casino floor. These visionary new partners have the expertise and imagination to reimagine our brands in bold, exciting ways for adult audiences.”

This ambitious vision makes sense in a market where the convergence of retro entertainment and technological innovation is stronger than ever.2026 promises to be the year when nostalgia meets casino adrenaline. A daring gamble that could well redefine the codes of family entertainment, driven by the familiarity of brands and the boldness of their adaptations.
