Bingoal-Casino.be: a fake site was abusing Bingoal’s reputation
The GC has just blocked the site bingoal-casino.be. The URL, which was similar to that of the legal casino Bingoal, linked to an illegal site in order to mislead players.
The Gaming Commission‘s blacklist of illegal casinos was updated on 1 July, with the site bingoal-casino.be among the new additions. An illegal casino that used the name Bingoal to mislead players.
This fake online casino used a domain name that was almost identical to the authorised brand, creating an illusion of legitimacy. The aim? Deceiving Belgian players and capturing deposits.
According to our information, this type of manoeuvre is on the increase, with illegal operators exploiting the public’s trust in established brands to circumvent regulatory mechanisms.
Several similar stories
In recent months, several casinos have fallen victim to these schemes. Notably Napoleon Sports & Casino, whose site had been copied.
The official blacklist also includes a number of URLs that are close or similar to legal casino URLs, such as familygame-fr.com, casino-napoleon.be and star-casino.be.
Stay informed and vigilant
As we can see from these examples, it is very easy to inadvertently end up on an illegal casino site. That’s why it’s important for players to be careful. Before registering, you can check whether the casino is legal on our site and also on the official GC site.
