Illegal Casino: Gaming Commission strikes hard with 18 new blocked sites

On February 4, 2026, the Belgian Gaming Commission (BGC) carried out a major update to its blacklist by integrating 18 new unauthorized gambling domains.
This regulatory offensive targets platforms operating without a license on Belgian territory, including sites with misleading names designed to usurp user trust. Authorities remind the public that accessing these interfaces exposes bettors to real financial risks and administrative prosecution.

Vigilance is required for fans of online casinos and sports betting in Belgium. As part of its mission to protect consumers and channel gambling activities, the BGC has just published an extension of its blacklist. 18 illegal sites have joined the list, which now counts over 770 domains banned from access within Belgium.
The art of camouflage: deceptive URLs
As with every update in recent months, some blocked domain names bear a strange resemblance to the names of legal casinos and bookmakers in Belgium. These URLs are subtly modeled on the standards of legal operators. Among the newly banned sites are:
- betcentercasino.org
- magic-betting.com
These operators use “cybersquatting” techniques or semantic mimicry to mislead the player. By using terms like “Betcenter,” a well-known Belgian bookmaker, or “Magic Betting,” a 100% legal casino, they attempt to piggyback on the reputation of operators holding B+ or F1+ licenses in Belgium.
An unwary player might believe they are browsing a legitimate extension of the official site, while in reality, they are entrusting their banking data to an unregulated entity, often based in offshore jurisdictions.
How to verify the legality of a gambling site?
As experts, we wish to draw your attention once again to the legality of online casinos. Before making any deposit, systematically check the license number (e.g., A+1234, B+5678). The official list of authorized sites can be consulted in real-time on the BGC portal.
