On 23 April 2026, the Gaming Commission (GC) issued a licence to a new operator: the website familysports.be, operated by BELGISCHE PMU SA/NV. This authorisation, registered under number 116869, comes on the same day as a significant development: the removal of 32redbingo.com from the blacklist.
Behind familysports.be lies a company that is far from unknown. BELGISCHE PMU SA/NV has long been associated with horse racing betting in Belgium. But with this new venture, the company appears to be embarking on a strategic shift. By venturing into sports betting, it is tackling a very different market.
Familysports.be: a name that catches the eye
The choice of the name “Family Sports” has not gone unnoticed. In a sector as strictly regulated as gambling, every detail counts, and communication is subject to heightened scrutiny.
This marketing positioning immediately raises questions. The term “Family” may seem at odds with the need to protect vulnerable groups, particularly minors.
This decision makes more sense when viewed in the context of another operator: FamilyGames, which is already active in Belgium in the online casino sector under a B+ licence. The arrival of familysports.be could be part of a complementary strategy. On the one hand, an existing online casino offering via FamilyGames. On the other, a new platform dedicated to sports betting.
