Can you influence Dice games? What your choices actually change
Can you influence Dice games? Discover how placement, bonus choices and betting amounts really affect your score, chances of winning and potential payouts.
You receive a column of dice and choose a grid. A moment later, a winning line appears. This feels different from a slot machine where you simply press a button to spin. But what exactly have you influenced: the position of the symbols, your score or your chances of winning money?
In Dice games, the answer depends on the game and the decision involved. Some titles feature genuine placement mechanics. Others are Dice slots, where dice primarily appear as symbols on reels. Bonus choices can also affect the outcome. However, none of these differences automatically gives you control over random results or provides a profitable strategy.
Different types of influence
The question of whether you can influence a Dice game is too broad for a simple yes or no. For example, you might place a column of dice in a different position, reject a bonus result or change your bet amount. These are different actions with different consequences.
It is therefore important to distinguish between four things: what you control, how the score is calculated, when a payout is awarded and what average return you can expect from a bet. Simply establishing that you can click on a grid does not answer the other questions.
A game can involve genuine decisions while still being a game of chance. The outcome may depend on both randomly generated symbols and how your choices are applied. Assessing this requires specific game rules. A slogan about strategy or luck is not enough.
Infinity Dice: you decide where the column goes
Infinity Dice by Air Dice is an example of a placement-based game. The playing field consists of four grids, each containing three rows and three columns. You receive a column of three randomly generated dice and choose which grid to place it in.
According to the game instructions, three matching dice on a horizontal or diagonal line earn points. The Infinity Dice review and its explanation of the scoring system describe how these combinations are formed. The published rules from Belgian operators also confirm that players can choose where to place the column.
The practical meaning is clear: you move the column you receive into a grid of your choice. This changes the arrangement used to calculate your score. You do not choose which dice will appear in the next column.
That distinction matters. Placement and generation are two separate steps. Being able to influence one does not prove that you can predict or change the other.
Different placements can produce different combinations
Imagine that the same column could complete a horizontal line in one grid, while no such combination exists in another. In that case, its position matters when the line is evaluated. This is a logical consequence of the scoring rules, not proof that every choice offers the same advantage.
This is a simplified illustration of the mechanics, not a simulation of an actual Infinity Dice round. In a real decision, diagonal lines, other grids, bonus lines and remaining spaces may also matter. Without seeing the entire playing field, it is impossible to identify the best placement.
A higher intermediate score also does not automatically mean you have made the best final decision. To determine that, you would need to assess what the alternatives could still produce and under which conditions the game awards payouts.
The verified conclusion is therefore limited but clear: Infinity Dice requires players to make placement decisions and awards points based on completed lines. This does not support the general claim that all player choices are merely decorative.
Score, payout threshold and winning probability are different
For Infinity Dice, the published rules specify a threshold of 100 points to win a prize. They also describe score multipliers when points are scored in three or four grids. This explains why focusing on a single line is insufficient.
Points are not euros. Their monetary value depends on the paytable, bet level and relevant game mode. A particular score can therefore only be evaluated once these conditions are known.
In a game involving player choices, the probability of reaching a payout threshold may depend on how you play. However, the size of that effect in a specific situation cannot be determined simply by looking at the game’s name or RTP percentage.
It is also important to distinguish between receiving prizes more frequently and achieving a higher average return. A decision that produces small payouts more often is not necessarily the same decision that offers the highest expected total return. Calculating this requires knowledge of all possible outcomes and their probabilities.
The Infinity Bonus involves a separate decision
In Infinity Dice, player influence extends beyond grid placement. Air Dice’s official information about Infinity Dice describes a bonus game featuring prizes in points, money and Mystery Games. Players have five spin attempts, after which the final result is automatically accepted.
The rules published by Wellington Casino clarify that players can reject a bonus result. Once rejected, that result is removed from the remaining possibilities for that bonus game. Accepting or continuing therefore changes how the bonus unfolds.
However, this does not mean that rejecting a result is always better. You give up an available outcome in favour of another possible result. To calculate the expected value of that decision, you would need to know the probabilities and values of the remaining outcomes.
A large number displayed on one bonus segment is not sufficient information. In certain circumstances, a smaller result may be more attractive than the risk of spinning again. The publicly available description confirms that this choice exists, but it does not provide the complete probability distribution needed to establish an optimal strategy.
Mystery Games change what you are trying to achieve
A regular round and a Mystery round may involve the same placement decisions, even though their payout mechanisms differ. For Infinity Dice, the published instructions state that a winning Mystery round awards the maximum prize for the selected bet level once the required points threshold has been reached.
This leads to an important consideration. If the payout remains the same above a certain threshold, achieving an exceptionally high score is not necessarily more valuable than simply reaching that threshold. This follows from the described payout rules, but it does not guarantee that a particular placement will succeed.
Our explanation of Mystery Games and their different payout rules explores these distinctions in greater detail. Always check that the rules match the specific game and version you are playing.
You therefore cannot automatically apply a decision from the regular game to every bonus mode. First, you need to understand what counts as a win in that mode and how the prize is calculated.
Mega Wheels: similar grids do not mean identical choices
Mega Wheels is another Dice game developed by Air Dice, featuring four grids of three by three squares. The developer also mentions a bonus game with a Progressive Jackpot and an Extrapot. These features create a different financial structure from a game without a jackpot.
The Mega Wheels review and its explanation of the bonus mechanics provide additional background on the game’s structure. Its similarity to Infinity Dice lies in the grid format, but this does not mean that both games share the same paytable or bonus conditions.
This is precisely why a universal Dice game strategy is inadequate. Each decision must be evaluated according to the objectives and rules of the specific game. A bonus feature that is absent from one title may play a role in determining payouts in another.
Publicly available product information does not constitute a complete mathematical model. We can therefore confirm the grid structure and the advertised bonus features, but we cannot determine how much a particular placement strategy increases the probability of winning the jackpot or improves average returns.
Joker Ra Dice: dice do not necessarily mean free placement
Joker Ra Dice by Endorphina works differently. The developer describes a game with five reels, four rows and one hundred fixed paylines. It is a Dice slot: symbols appear on reels and are evaluated according to the game’s combination rules.
The official Joker Ra Dice description does not mention any option allowing players to move the displayed symbols to another grid. The placement mechanics of Infinity Dice therefore cannot be applied to this title.
However, the game includes an optional Classic Risk Game that allows players to risk a payout they have already won. This is a separate decision made after a winning result. It changes what may happen to that payout, not the combination produced by the previous spin.
Our Joker Ra Dice review and its explanation of additional features examine this title in more detail. The existence of a double-or-nothing option does not, by itself, demonstrate a financial advantage. Assessing that would also require knowing the probability of losing and the complete rules.
What the verified examples demonstrate
| Game or feature | Choice or mechanic | What has been established? | What does not automatically follow? |
| Infinity Dice, base game | Placing a column in a grid | Placement determines the arrangement used to evaluate lines | Control over the next randomly generated column |
| Infinity Bonus | Accepting or rejecting a result | Rejecting changes the remaining bonus possibilities | A proven optimal strategy |
| Infinity Dice, Mystery round | Placement with different payout rules | The points threshold determines the described maximum prize | Guaranteed winnings |
| Mega Wheels | Grids and specific bonus features | The game includes different financial features | The same optimal choices as Infinity Dice |
| Joker Ra Dice | Reels and an optional risk game | No free placement is described, but players can make a decision about a payout they have won | Better odds of obtaining the original reel combination |
These differences demonstrate why the statement “you have influence” must always be accompanied by the question of what exactly you can influence.
RTP does not tell you which button to press
RTP is the theoretical return-to-player percentage under the conditions of the game’s mathematical model. It does not mean that every player receives the same result. In games involving decisions, it is also important to understand which assumptions about player behaviour are included in that percentage.
Air Dice lists an RTP of 96.50% for Infinity Dice. Without additional documentation, this figure does not reveal the difference between two specific placement decisions. It does not provide guidance for an individual round.
A hypothetical example helps explain the concept. With an RTP of 96%, the theoretical return over a very large number of rounds is €96 for every €100 wagered in total. This does not mean that a €100 deposit will still be worth €96 at the end of your session.
The total amount wagered can exceed the initial deposit when winnings are used to place additional bets. Our explanation of RTP and the house edge in casino games examines this long-term perspective. RTP remains a different measure from the score or probability of winning in a single round.
A higher bet does not prove you have better odds
Increasing your bet changes the amount of money you risk. Whether it also affects the game conditions, jackpot eligibility or access to bonus features must be specified in the rules of the particular game. This cannot be assumed for every Dice game.
The same applies to playing speed. Clicking faster does not improve the probability of obtaining favourable symbols. However, it may allow you to play more rounds in the same amount of time and therefore wager more money. Likewise, thinking carefully about your decisions does not guarantee that the next randomly generated column will be favourable.
The choices you can directly limit are your bet amount, playing time and decision to stop. An unfavourable round does not oblige you to continue playing. Placing another bet does not automatically recover an earlier loss.
So, can you influence Dice games?
In certain Dice games, you genuinely choose how the available symbols are placed. In other situations, you decide whether to keep an offered result or risk it again. These decisions can affect your score, payouts and how the game progresses.
However, the size of that influence depends on the specific game. Without complete rules and probability distributions, it is impossible to assign a percentage advantage to a strategy. Equally, the use of a random number generator (RNG) does not justify claiming that every outcome is predetermined regardless of player choices.
For Belgian players, the practical question is therefore straightforward: what choice am I making, which part of the game does it change, and what uncertainty remains? Infinity Dice, Mega Wheels and Joker Ra Dice provide different answers. Read the rules of the specific version you are playing, verify that the operator is licensed in Belgium, and do not let the idea of having influence become a reason to risk more money.
