Starcasino strengthens betting integrity by joining the IBIA

A commitment born of the launch in the Netherlands
When Starcasino announced its arrival on the Dutch market via a partnership with bookmaker Altenar, the operator was not content to simply offer a modern gaming platform: it chose to take a proactive approach to betting fraud. Starcasino has joined the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA), a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to protecting the integrity of sports betting.
The IBIA is no minor player: it oversees more than $300 billion (around €255 billion) in annual bets and already brings together the majority of licensed operators in the Netherlands. By joining forces with this structure, Starcasino intends to play an active role, not only in commercial growth, but also in the practical regulation of betting practices.

Already present in Belgium and Spain, Starcasino intends to capitalise on its expansion in the Netherlands to assert its policy of transparency. By joining a network already made up of more than 80 companies and 140 brands, the operator is setting an example.
What’s more, by enabling the IBIA to cover almost 90% of the Dutch market, Starcasino is helping to reduce the grey areas in the sector. For punters, it’s one more string in the bow of confidence.
IBIA: a robust tool against corruption
Founded by operators for operators, the IBIA acts as a technical sentinel. It detects suspicious behaviour and alerts the relevant authorities. Its international network is based on a detailed analysis of individual transactions, guaranteed by data accessible only to its members.
The results are already in: in the first quarter of this year, the organisation sent 63 alerts to the regulators, resulting in 17 sanctions against clubs, players or officials for manipulation.
