Drake banned from Kick? The clash that shook the platform

On 24 August 2025, a 404 error appeared when attempting to access Drake’s official channel on the livestreaming platform Kick: his content simply could not be found. A few days earlier, everything still seemed normal. Drake was making frequent appearances and streaming games and betting on Kick, often in collaboration with streamers such as Adin Ross. But the atmosphere suddenly changed.

Harsh criticism behind the disappearance

During live discussions on the platform, Drake did not mince his words when it came to Kick’s management. In particular, he called Ed Craven, the CEO of Kick and Stake, a ‘goof,’ saying that he had mistreated his fans. He also criticised the ban on promoting his affiliations and monetising via affiliate links:

“We built this shit, and they treat us like shit still. I was never allowed to push affiliate.”

These comments sparked outrage. Very quickly, his channel became inaccessible. On Kick, attempting to access it resulted in a 404 error screen.

Reactions in the streaming sphere

On the chat of TrainwrecksTV, another influential streamer, Drake let loose, calling the co-founders of Kick and Stake true enemies. He vividly compared them to coaches exploiting athletes:

“If Stake is the Warriors…I am Steph Curry…we win CHIPS for the last how many years the owners get rich af and make us run suicides after practice still, eat granola bars for meals, and take the Greyhound bus to games…”

Adin Ross, affected by the turn of events, shared his dismay live on stream. He confirmed that Drake would only resume streaming in a limited context, probably with him.

“Bro, I’m not doing any more streams. Unless it’s for Brand Risk [Ross’ company] or some shit like that, I’m doing any more of those streams. I’m good.”

Issues and consequences of Drake’s departure

This withdrawal marks a turning point for Kick: Drake was one of its most iconic figures, attracting a considerable audience. His departure could affect the platform’s visibility and the confidence of other creators.

The Drake affair: a public clash, a sudden disappearance from the Kick platform, fragile alliances and a shaken streaming world. It remains to be seen whether this disengagement will be permanent or whether it will be the prelude to more transparent negotiations.
