Polymarket is testing a much-anticipated new feature
Polymarket US is now testing contracts that allow up to ten outcomes to be combined. This trial phase has already generated a trading volume of approximately $7.4 million across 16,173 transactions.
$7.4 million traded during the test phase
The concept being tested by Polymarket US involves allowing users to combine several outcomes within a single transaction. In the traditional betting world, this type of combination corresponds to the principle of a combination bet. Users currently taking part in the test can combine up to ten elements in a single combination.
However, the product is not yet available on a large scale. It remains an experimental version, which means the volumes observed should be viewed in context and cannot be equated with those of a full commercial launch.
The test environment recorded a trading volume of approximately $7.4 million spread across 16,173 transactions.
Availability remains very limited in the United States
Despite the millions of dollars already recorded during the trials, the new product is not yet truly accessible to the general public in the US.
In particular, the combination option is not available in the Polymarket US app. Nor has the company carried out a general launch of its desktop platform.
A price request system at the heart of the system
The way in which Polymarket sets the price for these combinations is one of the most interesting aspects of the system.
The platform is based on a price-request system. When a trader wishes to trade a particular combination, they submit a request so that liquidity providers can set a price corresponding to that combination of outcomes. Participating liquidity providers then have a set period in which to respond. The user can subsequently accept the best available offer.
This architecture is designed to enable the market to determine a price for contracts combining several different events, rather than treating each one entirely independently.
A move in the pipeline since May
In May 2026, Polymarket US had self-certified its product with the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
The contracts in question are known as combined sports results contracts. Despite this step taken in May, they were not immediately made available to the general public.
It was not until 5 August, therefore, that Polymarket US processed its first combined transaction as part of this new offering.
Polymarket US is progressing more slowly than its overseas platform
Polymarket’s US strategy appears to be more gradual than that pursued on its overseas blockchain-based platform. The latter was already offering combinations back in June during the Football World Cup.
In the United States, the product is being rolled out on Polymarket’s regulated platform and was subject to self-certification with the relevant federal regulator prior to this trial phase.
