According to Hard Rock’s official announcement, a player at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood won $1,143,913.90 on a Dragon Link slot machine.
The jackpot was won on Sunday 9 August. At the time the jackpot was hit, the player was placing a $25 bet at a $1 denomination.
Why does the Dragon Link jackpot reset to $1 million?
The amount won is due to the way a progressive jackpot works. Unlike a fixed prize, its value increases as players place bets.
After the $1.14 million was paid out, the counter did not remain at that level. The Dragon Link jackpot was reset to its starting amount of $1 million.
