Illegal gambling advertising despite fine: Gaming Authority takes action against LCB!

The Dutch Gaming Authority (KSA) is cracking down on LCB CORP, the parent company of a major affiliate website. Despite an earlier fine of €6,250, LCB CORP advertised illegal online gambling in the Netherlands on their Latest Casino Bonuses site. The KSA will still collect the fine amount and can impose an additional €31,250 in penalty payments for further violations.

Long-term violation

In October 2021, two weeks after the opening of the regulated Dutch gaming market, the KSA discovered that LCB CORP was advertising unlicensed online casinos through an affiliate website. The website specifically targeted Dutch players by offering iDEAL as a payment method.

The KSA imposed a fine of €6,250 on LCB CORP and required it to immediately cease the violations. LCB CORP refused to pay the fine and continued to promote illegal gambling sites.

Control and repetition

In December 2022, an audit revealed that the affiliate website was still violating the rules. It was possible for Dutch players to create an account, deposit money and gamble on one of the illegal sites that were advertised.

The KSA sent LCB CORP an intention to collect the penalty in January 2024. The gambling company missed the opportunity to submit a statement.

Collection and warning

Because LCB CORP did not stop the violations within the specified period and did not pay the fine, the KSA is now still demanding €6,250. The regulator warns that a maximum of €31,250 in penalty payments can be forfeited for further violations.

Illegal links despite fine

At the moment, Latest Casino Bonuses only seems to show links to legal online casinos in the Netherlands. However, the website still lists partner sites that redirect to illegal online casinos.
