OneCasino sold! New acquisition in the Dutch gambling world

The Glitnor Group, the company behind LuckyCasino and HappyCasino, has acquired OneCasino. This means that OneCasino, active in the Netherlands and countries such as Spain and Denmark, is now part of Glitnor. How much Glitnor paid for the purchase remains a secret.

Glitnor already has a strong presence in the gambling world with well-known names such as LuckyCasino and HappyCasino. In addition, they have Swintt Games, a popular game provider, and KaFe Rocks, a large affiliate marketer that operates under the time2play brand. With this new acquisition, Glitnor expects to gain a stronger foothold in the European market and expand its presence to more than eight countries.

Glitnor Group sees OneCasino as a perfect addition

Richard Brown, CEO of Glitnor Group, is clearly pleased with the acquisition. He speaks enthusiastically about the growth opportunities OneCasino offers: “We are extremely excited to welcome OneCasino and their team to the Glitnor Group,” says Brown, emphasizing that OneCasino fits well with their mission to conquer the eGaming market in a responsible way.

According to Brown, OneCasino has a high-quality product that fits seamlessly with Glitnor’s own offering.

“Mark and his team have built something special with OneCasino. They have developed a great product and have held their own in multiple challenging, regulated markets. We can’t wait to work together and leverage the growth potential of both companies.”

Mark Schram of OneCasino is proud and ready for the future

Mark Schram, CEO of OneCasino, looks back with pride on what his team has achieved in recent years. He sees the acquisition by Glitnor as an opportunity to grow and offer the customer an even better experience. “We are incredibly proud of what we have built as OneCasino. The merger with Glitnor is an exciting new step in which we can further expand and improve our offering,” says Schram.

Schram emphasizes that the shared vision of the companies coincides perfectly.

“This merger offers us the opportunity to further improve our product offering and ensure that players can enjoy our platform safely and responsibly. We look forward to all the possibilities that this collaboration brings us.”

Acquisitions of Dutch online casinos continue

With the acquisition of OneCasino, this is the fourth Dutch online casino that has been acquired by another company since the introduction of the new gambling legislation. In 2021, Flutter bought the now departed tombola from the Netherlands, and a year later Entain paid no less than €300 million for BetCity. This year Betsson followed, buying Goldrun Casino for €27.5 million.

Now that OneCasino is in the hands of Glitnor, Glitnor is expanding further in Europe. With gambling sites such as LuckyCasino and HappyCasino, Glitnor is already active in Sweden and Malta. A year ago, the company made changes after a fine in Malta for shortcomings in its anti-money laundering policy. With the addition of OneCasino, Glitnor is taking a step further in its European growth strategy.
