$300 million to transform the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas
The MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, an iconic establishment on the famous Strip, is about to begin an impressive metamorphosis. With a colossal budget of $300 million, the hotel is tackling the complete renovation of the 4,212 rooms and suites of its main tower. This major project, scheduled for completion in December 2025, aims to redefine the visitor experience with a modern design inspired by the disco years and innovations adapted to the needs of contemporary travelers.
Opened in 1993, the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino has quickly become one of the must-see symbols of Las Vegas. At the time of its opening, it was the largest hotel in the world with more than 5,000 rooms. It is owned by MGM Resorts International, a world-renowned company that manages several iconic properties, including the Bellagio, Mandalay Bay and Luxor.

Starting in January 2025, this project represents one of the largest investments ever made by MGM Grand. The first remodeled rooms will be available for booking on March 1, 2025, offering a taste of what the future of luxury will look like on the Strip. Mike Neubecker, President and COO of MGM Grand, said:

King rooms will feature walnut finishes, textured wallpaper and vibrant carpets, while Queen rooms will feature light gray tones and sophisticated lighting.
Luxurious and Functional Suites
With this renovation, the MGM Grand will add 111 new suites to its collection, bringing the total to 753. Designed to offer both privacy and versatility, these suites will include:
- Spacious living areas with comfortable sofas.
- Modern bathrooms with double mirrors and quartz finishes.
- An interior design playing on contrasts between dark wood and light hues.
Reinvented experiences for all
In parallel with the renovations, the MGM Grand will enrich its offerings with new attractions and dining options. Among them:
