“Grand Show Folie Royale”

Knokke-Heist is set to be dazzled by a truly international variety show reminiscent of the Moulin Rouge. Marc Coucke and Ben Van den Keybus are joining forces to bring the crowd-pleaser “Grand Show Folie Royale” to the Flemish coast. Van den Keybus is the manager of Het Witte Paard in Blankenberge, which gained great popularity with comedy shows starring the likes of Jacques Vermeire and Jacky Lafon.

“But this is completely separate from Het Witte Paard. It’s a totally different cast and the humor factor will also be less present.”

Ben Van den Keybus

From July 4 to August 11, this show will add color to the summer on the coast with international artists who have gained fame in unique locations such as the Cirque de Rome, the Moulin Rouge, or in major musicals and theaters at home and abroad.

For those who wish, there is also the possibility to dine in advance of the show for a three-course dinner by Peter Goossens in the ballroom of La Réserve, the luxury hotel of Marc Coucke and Bart Versluys opposite the casino.

“World-class variety”

Ben Van den Keybus is constantly on the lookout for fantastic acts worldwide: From Monte Carlo to Las Vegas.

“The Casino’s story convinced Belgian and international top artists to perform here. Almost a hundred years after the legendary performances of Joséphine Baker and some fifty years after the closure of the last music hall, we are once again bringing world-class contemporary variety to Knokke-Heist.”

Line-up announcement

The line-up will probably be announced at the end of May. The production sets the bar very high. Exceptionally, you can see the winner of the Golden Clown of the Cirque de Monte Carlo at work, the highest distinction a circus artist can receive. Two surprising world-class special guests will feature and there will be a tribute to celebrities who have performed in the Casino before such as Elton John, Frank Sinatra, Edith Piaf, Keith Haring and Réné Magritte.

Get ready for musical highlights, flamboyant costumes, swirling choreographies to dream away to and many surprises that will pass by in the revue.

Jan Morbee, the mayor of Knokke-Heist, also reacts with pride:
