Spribe wins court case in the United Kingdom against counterfeit game by Aviator LLC

On 1 August 2025, the Supreme Court in the United Kingdom sent a clear signal: Spribe has won its battle against the Georgian company Aviator LLC.

The court banned Aviator LLC from launching or promoting their game, which resembles the popular crash game Aviator, in the United Kingdom. Spribe developed this game in 2018 and owns all rights to it.

Spribe responds with relief to the court’s ruling

David Natroshvili, founder of Spribe, was visibly relieved after the decision. He said:

‘The court has recognised our position. We will continue to protect our game, our partners and our players from imitation.’

It is not just about profit or honour, but also about protecting a game that attracts millions of players worldwide.

Spribe warns of damage to reputation from counterfeit games

Spribe has held an official gambling licence in the United Kingdom since 2020. Their original Aviator game has become a global success.

Aviator LLC attempted to market a copy. They used not only the same name but also the same design.

Spribe calls this a serious infringement of their intellectual property. They also pointed out the risks for players and the brand itself

The court described Aviator LLC’s behaviour as childish and unreliable

The judge strongly criticised Aviator LLC’s conduct during the proceedings.

The judge described their attitude as ‘childlike’ and ‘petulant’. Aviator LLC had withheld documents, provided misleading information and denied their plans for the British market.

Spribe’s legal team demonstrated that Aviator LLC operated through a maze of vague licensing arrangements and subsidiaries.

The court ruling is part of a broader battle for brand protection

According to Spribe, this is not an isolated case. Temur Ugulava, the mastermind behind Aviator LLC, allegedly tried to systematically profit from Spribe’s reputation through companies such as Aviator Studio Group and AviGroup.

In 2023, he fought a similar battle in Georgia, where the court quickly issued a ruling that only concerned logos within that country.

Spribe emphasises that their brand and game are protected worldwide, both in the EU and in the UK and other regulated markets.

Spribe warns against misleading practices by competitors

Spribe reported that Aviator LLC has approached customers with false claims.

They attempted to offer their illegal copy while pretending to own the original game. According to Spribe, these claims are completely fabricated.

Spribe confirms that Aviator, the brand name and the software, was developed entirely by them and is owned by the company itself.

Spribe continues to take legal action worldwide to protect their game

The company has announced that this will not be the last lawsuit. They are determined to take action against abuse everywhere.

Wherever their brand name is hijacked, Spribe will intervene. According to Natroshvili, it is about more than money:

‘We are protecting the trust of our players.’
