Investigation reveals: fake website Becasinobe sends Belgian players to illegal casino

The illegal website Becasinobe.com misuses the name of the recognized Belgian brand BeCasino to lure players into a trap. An exclusive investigation by Gambling Club shows how this fake site redirects visitors via misleading links to MasterPlay, an offshore casino without any license.
Gambling Club‘s investigation indicates that the website poses as a legal affiliate under the name of BeCasino (an active and legal casino in Belgium), but ultimately leads visitors to MasterPlay Casino. Because that casino does not hold a Belgian license, playing there is prohibited and players are at risk.
Identity fraud: how Becasinobe piggybacks on a legal Belgian license
During our technical analysis, the editorial team at Gambling Club discovered exactly how this fraud is structured. Becasinobe deliberately builds trust by copying the appearance of a legitimate casino guide. They use elements of the brand identity of the well-known Belgian casino BeCasino and also divert players using a very similar url.
When searching on Google, players trying to access BeCasino end up on this fake site. There, they recognize BeCasino’s logos as well as their promotions and simply think they have landed on their review site. This is where the trap closes on the player. Every seemingly safe link silently transfers the player to MasterPlay.
Our tracking of this offshore platform yielded a disturbing result. MasterPlay not only violates Belgian law by operating without approval from the Kansspelcommissie (KSC), but it also claims in the fine print to have a ‘license’ from Anjouan (Comoros). In the gambling industry, this jurisdiction is notorious as a cheap front without any serious oversight or player protection. Visitors who unknowingly deposit money here surrender themselves to a ghost company.
Smart technology used to bypass blocks
The investigation also highlights a technical trick used by the website. Normally, affiliate links to gambling sites are recognized quickly and sometimes blocked by browsers or security systems.
According to the analysis, Becasinobe works differently. Instead of traditional affiliate links, the website uses internal links that later redirect to the external gambling site. As a result, for browsers such as Firefox, the link initially appears to be a regular internal page.
Only after the click is the visitor redirected to the casino. In this way, the link can slip past filters and blocks intended to stop high-risk gambling sites.
MasterPlay uses an .io domain, common among international platforms
The casino where visitors eventually end up operates under an .io domain. This extension originally belongs to the British Indian Ocean Territory but is now widely used by technology companies, crypto platforms, and online gaming services.
For search engines like Google, an .io domain is seen as a generic internet address, similar to .com. This means that its use has no direct impact on a website’s findability.
MasterPlay Casino deliberately hides behind this anonymous .io extension to stay safely out of reach of Belgian justice. Players pay the ultimate price for this. Anyone who deposits money on this offshore platform via these hijacked links will definitively lose their entire stake in the event of fraud or non-payment.
