National Lottery: this webinar is set to spark discussion
On Tuesday 26 May 2026, the National Lottery will host a conference in Brussels dedicated to online gambling and gambling behaviour in Belgium, entitled ‘Cards on the table’.
A day to shed light on the public debate
On Tuesday 26 May 2026, from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm, the National Lottery will bring participants together at Skyline Brussels for a conference. The event, named “Cards on the table”, will focus on online gambling, player behaviour in Belgium and the approach to responsible gambling.
Gambling is regularly the subject of public debate, balancing social concerns, economic issues, player protection and the need for appropriate regulation. The National Lottery states its intention to contribute to this debate by relying on concrete figures rather than impressions or general positions. The conference aims to provide access to factual information that will help to better understand how practices are evolving, how risks can be identified, and how a responsible gambling policy can be developed based on measurable observations.
The conference will focus on a number of questions, such as:
- How is players’ gambling behaviour changing?
- Do people gamble more during times of crisis?
- What does a risk- and evidence-based approach to responsible gambling look like in practice?
An open event in three languages
The conference will take place at Skyline Brussels and will be held in three languages: French, Dutch and English.
The event is scheduled from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm on Tuesday 26 May 2026. Those interested must register by 18 May 2026 via this link.
The event promises to share data, figures and research findings on the National Lottery’s online gaming platform.
