A combination that changes everything
Five numbers, two stars and an evening that has gone down in history. The winning ticket contained the numbers 2, 7, 23, 44 and 46, along with the stars 3 and 5. No other player matched this full combination.
The result: the winner walks away with €174,984,088. A staggering sum, which immediately places this win at the top of Belgium’s EuroMillions history.
A national record broken
According to the Belgian National Lottery’s website, this amount is the largest win ever recorded in Belgium in EuroMillions. The previous national record dated back to October 2016, at €168 million. With nearly €175 million, Belgium now holds a new record in the history of this European game.
Playing EuroMillions in Belgium
To play EuroMillions, you must select a combination of five numbers and two stars, then submit your entry for one of the draws held every Tuesday and Friday. In Belgium, you can play in-store or online via the National Lottery.
Each €2.50 bet gives you a chance to win, with a base jackpot of €17,000,000, which can increase with each draw if there is no first-tier winner, up to a maximum of €250,000,000.
The overall chance of winning a prize is one in 12.97 per bet, whilst the probability of winning the jackpot is one in 139,838,160.
