Monopoly makes its debut on French slot machines

The Villers-sur-Mer casino, in Normandy, is expanding its range of games with the arrival of the Monopoly Big Board Bucks slot machines. Already popular in the United States, they are being offered as a preview at this venue.
A slot machine inspired by Monopoly
Visitors to the Villers-sur-Mer Casino can now enjoy a new gaming experience. Since the end of July, the Monopoly Big Board Bucks slot machines have been open to the public, marking a national first for this model.
The Normandy-based casino is thus showcasing an innovation already well-established on the American market. For the casino, this launch provides a way to refresh its offering whilst presenting an instantly recognisable theme thanks to the Monopoly licence.
“This is a national exclusive. Here in Normandy, we’re rather proud to be able to host this innovation, which is already proving very successful in the United States,” explains Angélique Tanner, the casino’s marketing manager.
Gameplay mechanics faithful to the world of the famous board game
The new machines incorporate the key elements of the board game, notably its board and iconic streets. The aim is to offer players a familiar environment whilst integrating the mechanics specific to modern slot machines.
“The concept really resembles the Monopoly game. There are lots of bonuses and free spins,” explains Angélique Tanner.
This adaptation focuses on an immersive experience by combining a world-famous licence with enhanced gameplay features.
A day of events to mark the launch
To mark this launch, the casino organised several events throughout the day.
The aim of this initiative is to introduce the new attraction to both regulars and visitors alike. Just a few hours after being installed, the new machines had already piqued the curiosity of the first players.
