Napoleon Sports & Casino main sponsor Anderlecht

RSC Anderlecht has acquired a new main sponsor. From next season the Napoleon Sports & Casino logo will appear on the chest of the purple-white shirt. However the deal with the online casino and sports betting platform is temporary as stricter rules on gambling advertising will apply from 2025.

Deal with Napoleon

The contract with the previous main sponsor DVV and asset manager Candriam both part of Belfius expired. Anderlecht went looking for a new sponsor and they found it in the form of Napoleon Sports & Casino. The company was already visible on the sleeves of the Anderlecht shirts but has now moved to a more prominent place on the chest

Temporarily on the chest, permanently on the back

However the new main sponsor can only adorn the chest of the Anderlecht shirt for six months. The ban on gambling advertising was approved at the beginning of 2023. The rules are introduced step by step. The ban on gambling advertising on TV, radio, advertisements and video advertising is already in force. From January 1 2025, shirt sponsorship is only allowed with the logo and name of the betting office but without a slogan and not on the front.

Napoleon Sports & Casino will therefore be visible on the front of the Anderlecht shirt for another six months after which the company will move to the back of the shirts. The gambling company that recently renewed its partnership with Anderlecht will therefore remain affiliated with the Brussels club despite the new rules.

Anderlecht looking for a new sponsor

Due to the new rules on gambling advertising Anderlecht will have to look for a new main sponsor from January 1 2025. The Napoleon Sports & Casino logo will be visible on the back of the shirts, but the club will lose the prominent place on the chest.

The search for a new main sponsor is therefore not over yet for Anderlecht. The club still has some time to conclude a new deal that complies with the stricter rules on gambling advertising.
