Unibet Games becomes 32Red in Belgium
From 30 June 2026, Unibet Games Belgium is set to officially become 32Red Belgium.
A name change, but not just a minor detail
On 30 June 2026, Unibet Games Belgium will cease to exist, making way for 32Red Belgium. The decision appears to reflect a broader strategy regarding how FDJ United wishes to organise its brands in Belgium.
For players, access to a similar range of casino games is expected to remain unchanged, albeit under a different visual and commercial identity.
This transformation does not affect all of Unibet’s operations in Belgium. Only the Unibet Games division is affected by the announced change. The group’s other operations remain separate. Unibet Sports continues to operate under an F1+ licence via unibetsports.be. Unibet Casino continues to operate under an A+ licence via unibetcasino.be.
The Belgian context calls for clarity
The Belgian online gambling market operates within a strict regulatory framework. For several years now, regulations have tended to reinforce the distinction between different categories of games. In particular, the Act of 18 February 2024 confirmed the ban on offering several classes of games simultaneously on the same website or app.
By associating each activity with a distinct brand, an operator minimises the risk of confusion for players and clarifies the regulatory structure of its offering. Following the planned change, FDJ United’s Belgian portfolio is expected to be organised around three clearly separate brands: Unibet Sports for sports betting, Unibet Casino for casino games operated under an A+ licence, and 32Red for games operated under a B+ licence.
Why 32Red rather than Unibet Games?
32Red has its own history in the world of online casinos. Founded in the UK in 2002, it was built around casino games and slot machines. Unlike Unibet, whose image remains strongly associated with sports betting, 32Red is more widely recognised as a brand specialising in casino games.
