711 Malta secures a strategic licence

The 711 Group is continuing its international expansion. Its subsidiary, 711 Malta Limited, has just been granted a gaming services licence for operators offering their services directly to players, issued by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA).

A licence that paves the way for the launch of 711casino.com

After several years of development in regulated markets, the 711 Group has reached a new milestone. The Malta Gaming Authority has granted 711 Malta Limited a gaming services licence intended for commercial operators offering games to consumers. This authorisation provides the essential regulatory foundation for the launch of 711casino.com, which is set to go live in the coming weeks.

Avshalom Lazar, Managing Director of 711 Malta:

“Obtaining our MGA licence is a major milestone for 711 Malta and a significant step forward in our growth journey.”

An international ambition confirmed

711’s recent history shows that this development is part of a strategy built up over several years.

The brand launched its online casino in the Netherlands in 2022, a market renowned for its particularly strict regulatory requirements. Two years later, it expanded its business to include a sports betting offering, giving rise to the 711 Sport & Casino brand.

The group then expanded its presence into Belgium. Setting up a base in Malta therefore represents a logical next step in this international expansion, rather than an isolated initiative.

Why is the Malta Gaming Authority licence so important?

Beyond simply authorising the operation of an online gambling site, the licence issued by the Malta Gaming Authority has strategic significance.

The MGA is recognised as one of the most influential regulatory authorities in the European gambling sector. For many operators, it represents a credible regulatory foundation that enables them to consider expansion into multiple jurisdictions.

This recognition is also important for business partners. Payment providers, game development studios and affiliate companies often pay particular attention to operators holding an MGA licence.

A new milestone rather than a final achievement

Obtaining the licence from the Malta Gaming Authority marks an important milestone in 711’s development, but it is only the beginning of a new phase.

The group now has a recognised regulatory framework from which to pursue its international development. The experience it has gained in the Netherlands and subsequently in Belgium provides a solid foundation, but its expansion will now depend on the markets it chooses to target and its ability to establish itself against already well-established competitors.
