Janshen-Hahnraths Group is cutting 106 jobs at Fair Play Casinos

Janshen-Hahnraths Group (JHG) announced yesterday April 25 that it will thoroughly restructure its head office organization in Kerkrade and change the operating model of its Fair Play Casinos. In addition, the activities of Fair Play Casinos are being scaled back.

The shareholders of JHG regret this decision, as can be read on the company’s website. Various external market developments, such as changed legislation, the recent increase in gambling tax, the long-term closure of the casinos due to Covid-19 and the sharply increased wage and operating costs, have a negative impact on JHG’s results.

106 jobs will disappear

The restructuring is expected to result in the loss of 106 jobs. Employees at the head office and the casinos were informed of the decision today. At the end of May, individual discussions will be held with the employees involved about the personal consequences of the restructuring and the available guidance.

Consultation with works council and trade unions

The works council and trade unions have now been informed and further consultations will soon take place with them about the consequences of the restructuring.
